Could you provide a bit more detail on what your usage and expectations of these would be, please?

I have my caravan on a seasonal pitch.my network is vodafone and I can run tv apps from my phone to the tv. but the signal strength is a bit flakey and during the day 4/5 g doesn't always provide a good connection for the Internet.so I'm hoping if I upgrade to a 4g/wifi system and mount the antenna maybe 4 to 5 feet above the van roof i should get good results..but people say it will only be as good as the signal!

Hopefully someone who's had the same problem may be able to help.

For me I have Sim cards on different networks and choose which one provides the best coverage. Of course it helps that my phone can support two different Sims at the same time.

I've also got a small Mifi unit that takes a sim card and with the 30 day contracts available you can buy different sims that are on special offer just to use in that and then discard.

I generally lean towards products aimed at wider markets than those aimed at niche markets like camping. The volumes produced, the extent of development and testing a much bigger sales volume funds, together with a trend that a wider market sorts out the better products, or avoids those not quite as "good".

So here I would aim to buy a product with an extensive market use, sold in great volumes etc, rather than one aimed at me as a caravanner.

First thing to do is get a SIM card from all 4 networks and see which gives you the best results in your phone on site.
Smarty = 3
1p mobile = EE
GiffGaff =O2
You already have Vodafone
All the above do one month tariffs or PAYG and you only need a small amount of data for a test over a couple of days.
Then choose the one that works best.

I run a Huawei 5g router but if 4g is all that's available then you could do much worse than getting a Huawei B818-263 second hand off eBay for under £100 most are open for all networks except those branded Vodafone.
Mine sits in the front window and I have yet to find a site with no signal on either EE or 3 (I carry both)

I wouldn't buy a system "designed" for caravans as it's a licence for the manufacturer to print money.
