Awning Alteration

We have recently ordered an Abbey Adventura 317 for delivery at the end of May. Our Present awning is a Bradcot Active 870 and the recommended size for the Abbey is 895. We have a local firm who do alterations so we are thinking about having 30 cms added to our exisiting awning rather than buy new as we are very happy with the bradcot. Has anyone any experience of awning alterations? has anyone had any problems.

Hi Caroline,

We had our awning made larger, and have had no trouble at all.Unless you point it out to people, most are not aware that it has been altered.Go for it girl.....it's cheaper than buying another one .

agree with maureen,we had ours reduced from 950 to 920 dorema country,cost

I had an Isabella awning extended by a similar amount a few years ago. Nobody was able to tell, except the colour of the new insert couldn't be matched exactly as the original material had faded. However, when I consider how much money I saved I was able to live quite happily with the result.
