Awning "Decking"

When we were in Switz at Easter, many of our neighbouring German and Swiss vanners used a raised flooring in their porch awnings. Basically it was made of lightweight plastic/PVC/rubber mats which laid on top of an aluminium frame of about 6-9" depth. Great idea for muddy pitches, and no damage to the grass underneath. I've not seen anything like it in the UK - anybody know where you can get them?

Mmm decking eh? Can you get a water feature to go with it?Perhaps this will bring forth a whole new raft of accessories culminating in the landscaping of the entire pitch.....

try fritzberger.de (item No 27331-05) for a 240cmx400cm decking its _149 . they are made by AE who make the aluminium awning poles easy system. I have seen the system but the germans I have seen use it as a semi permanent flooring only taking it up in winter on their permanent site.

Last summer in Belgium we saw awnings with decking, some with carpet and others with vinyl laid on top of wooden platforms. We also saw domestic bunk beds in awning extensions, and other "house" type items.

Long live diversity.
