Can any one give me advice. We have a Detleffs caravan and have a major problem with the awning track. The first time we used the caravan and awning we kept having the awning coming out of the track. The awning piping is so loose in the track you can pull it out (and push it back in) any where. But on the rear bend its worse and this is where we had the problems. But clearly its unsatisfactory that its so wide the whole length.

A workshop looked at it said that's how its been manufactured and there was nothing that could be done. They estimated that it was over size by about 50%.

Does any one know if a larger sized awning channel is used on some or all German caravans. Or if they know where awnings with "over size" piping can be bought?

I don't know about Dethleffs but you could phone Campbells Caravans on 01772 627627 or 01772 683868 as they are the UK agents.

I do know that Knaus, Hobby and Fendt are the same size as UK caravans and I couldn't envisage Dethleffs being different.

What make is your awning?......can you try someone elses to check?

Well yes I could phone them again.they are my dealers!
Ventura awnings are standard and I used one with my Fendt without problem, I used a Trio Elegance with my Knaus and a Dorema with my Hobby until I changed it for a Brand Casino.

Do a google search and e-mail Dethleffs or one of their Continental dealers if you are getting the usual response from Campbells!
