Sorry to seem niave, but is it really possible to put an awning up on completely hard ground, ie. concrete?? This thought has always amazed me. Spot the novice! If so, what do I need to buy. I've only ever put my awning up on grass.

Bob Atkinson,

Its the screwfix coach screws for me with the drill, I`ve never had one break, they come out as easily as they go in, takes all the hard work away.

good luck cousin

Post for Gary. Having taken your advice on the screwfix bolts and wing nuts, which I thought was an excellent cost effective solution, I appear to have a problem.

The threads on the two parts are different and will not thread on. Your suggestions would be very appreciated!

Hi,

Yes the threads are different but you just drive the coach screw through regardless, hopefully I quoted the right size wing nut but it should be a slightly stiff passage (fnarrr fnarrr) past the threads on the screw such that the nut rattles loose but retained on the threadless part of the screw.
