Help! My caravan met the garage wall yesterday. The awning rail has come off at the bottom, it’s an old 2007 Swift - As far as I can tell you can’t get the rails and I don’t really want to replace the entire rail.
Anybody had luck using a hammer and knocking it back in place then sealing it and screwing it back down.
I don’t really need the bottom rail for the awning - as it goes in at the top quite comfortably.
It’s purely aesthetic and of course I want to avoid water ingress.
I have asked a local dealer for a quote to fix but thought I would ask here for any tips on doing yourself also. I have thought about cutting it out and patching it up.
All help welcome.
Cheers
Tim
