Seasonal pitch advice.

Our Air Awning ( Kampa) went bang in a spectacular fashion when the stitching failed and the bladder herniated. It was 8 years old and beyond economic repair. To be fair it had benn left up for weeks at a time on a seasonal pitch in all weathers. Something that was specifically not designed for.

If Attwolls can’t help, I can recommend Specialised Canvas near Chesterfield who resized a pole awning for us.

With the Isabella. It looks like I can get a whole new centre beam for £160. And it simply zips in. So all is not lost. At the moment there is no stock. But there is no hurry.

Today was a breezy dry day. Managed to get the awning dry on the lawn and to examine the damage. Luckily we had a son in law and later a grandson arrive to help with the lifting and folding. I told my grandson I could not work as fast as him. That’s because you’re old he rightly said. Leave it to me. 😟



The double stitched seam has completely gone. The bladder has not burst, but it feels thinner where is herniated.
