can anyone help me i own a swift 1987 silhouette and in need of some help with the awning sizes my van measures in at just 12ft6 so what size in cm do i need ? also can anyone advise me of any good camping sites in or around Bewdley shropshire? my tow car is a toyota avensis 2 ltr turbo diesel very powerful a great tow car has anyone else got any comment on this type of car?

Rachel,

Get a piece of string, put one end on the ground directly beneath one end of the 'van's awning rail. get someone to hold it,or peg it down, then thread it through the awning rail, all the way round until it comes out the other end. Pull it tight and straight down to the ground at that end, then mark the points where each end touches the ground. Take the string out again, and carefully measure in centimetres the distance between the marks. This will be the size of the awning you need.
