Bailey GT65 battery box material

Hi,

We've stupidly snapped the rear hinge on the battery box of Bailey GT65 Ancona, box side not door....so a pretty large rework and expense.
Does anyone know what type of plastic these boxes are made of so I could try glueing it (hinge isn't under much load)

Regards,
Mark

Not sure what the plastic is but I think you are looking at a two part apoxy resin glue to do the job, I was in Aldis last week and they have a selection of Gorilla glues at half the price you would pay at screwfix, I bought a tube of Gorilla heavy duty grab for
£4.00 other places £8.00,

Airfix polyglue is only really suitable for plastic kits which is a soft plastic, the glue works by melting the plastic and then it welds together, I doubt if it would be strong enough ,
