If your drums have sealed bearings rather than taper roller types, which were fitted on older Alko trailers, be aware there are two types of drums ( 5 bolt ) on Alko trailers with 200 x 50 mm drums.
One has a stub axle diameter of 34mm (605121) and the other 37 ( I think)( 586450) be careful to buy the right drum that fits the stub axle. I have a new drum sat in my workshop to fit a 34mm stub axle ( now stock) as I found out the hard way.

That’s where the casting number comes in, it will be like for like, no guess no wrong stock 🤪

The casting number is not everything. After casting they are machined for the shoes and for the wheel bolts, number, spacing diameter and thread. They are then given a part number.

Yep I agree with Jcloughie I took the casting number along with along the other numbers on the drum and sent them off to my suppliers who came back with their stock number, which duly bought, The casting looks identical including the OD and width of the bearings, just the ID being smaller. As I have lots of spares I didn't send it back just ordered a new drum after speaking directly with them

I can’t say as I have had that issue with AlKO drums, all I required was casting number, number of bolts, sealed bearing or taper bearing, not had a wrong one yet.
One I got was 638624, I know it was 5 stud, I know it was sealed for life, I also know (when I bought it) the casting number had changed to 583928, that’s all I needed for correct drum.
