Bailey Unicorn flush pump fix

Hi all...my flush stopped working after storing up over winter... I found that the pink goop had blocked up the pump. I took the pump out...you must 1st free up the flush tube in the cassette area 1st this allows you to pull the pump out of the cabinet hole.
To unblock pump I poured near boiling water into the impeller and gently turned impeller with a small screw driver.....then very hot water again.....and then a small squid of wd40. I then connected it up and pumped it through in a bucket.....loads of goop came out. Then I then cleaned out tank with hot water and drained using caravan drainage pipe. Finally pumped around 6 lts of fresh water through pump. This fixed the issue....Completely hope this helps others....cheers Richard in Bolton.

Ps Tip... if you use pink smelly stuff make sure you flush the tank through before leaving site

Easier to use just plain water, as you do at home.
Many caravans, and MH's (mine included) don't have a separate flush tank and they clearly cope using plain water! I think the pink "stuff" is simply both another way for someone to take your money along with it being a solution looking for a problem to fix!
