Bathroom cleaner?

Can anyone suggest a useful cleaner that can be used in the caravan toilet compartment. I find that there is a build-up of residue from soap in the plastic sink that is difficult to shift. Thank you for any response.

Use an orange based cleaner such as Astonish or Flash, then rinse away. Mind you vinegar also works wonders, and is far cheaper.

I saw an advert in Practical Caravan this month for a Specialist Washroom Cleaner and a whole range of new products. If you go do www.fsddirect.co.uk you can find your local stockist or buy on line. The product is called Finesse, I bought it from a stockist in Huddersfield and it's fantastic stuff, the wife loves it.

Hi Gordon

Yes, I saw the advert and I looked on the website BUT have you seen the price of these items? I thought them a bit over the top!!! Will contact my local caravan dealer and see what they suggest.

Thank everyone for your help.

hi Anne

We bought "AotoGlym" multi purpose caravan cleaner, and whilst I initially moaned about the cost - I would cos I'm a male - it cleans a multitude of surfaces (inside and out) very well, including toilet/bathroom area (especially sinks). We were both amazed. It also seems to be lasting forever. Obviously I now recommend this. It also came highly recommended by one of the caravan mags (maybe this one) during a group product test a few months ago.

Hi Ann,

Don't be put off by the price, I though it was a little pricey also but it is very, very concentrated. I reckon it will last us a whole year and that includes using it in the house also as it has definately become a firm favourite with my wife.(Everywhere smells of Finesse now!) You only need a small amount in the bottom of a spray gun, then you fill the rest up with water. Very good value really when you think about it.

Hi Gordon and Ann,

We went to a show at Reads in Blackburn in July where the company FSD were demonstrating their products. After seeing their demo we bouught both vanquish 3 in 1 and the Finesse. We love them both and although they seem expensive they go a long long way.

Lou
