Battery Box Door

Hi all, I’m looking for a wee bit of advice please re replacing my Battery Door;
Last year I stupidly locked my battery door with a bit too much ‘oomph’ and snapped off the plastic thread retainers on the door inset that hold the lock - so I now need a new door…….. I’ve a 2015 Bailey Pursuit 400-2, which is kept in storage some 2 hours away. Having spent an hour or two online, I can buy a straight basic door replacement from the manufacturers shop, or for a lot less money I can buy a ‘third party’ supplied door from numerous sites for just over half the price, AND they include a new lock, barrel and keys. ( though I do have the old ones )
My questions are :-
1. Are these doors a universal size ? I don’t have the measurements of mine to hand, but there only appears to be a couple of sizes, with one in particular being fairly standard across all makes ?
2. Any hints/tips/hacks on how to remove my full door ‘Bailey grey’ decal and put on the new door ? ( even Baileys replacement only comes in white)
Thanks in advanvce

In my experience the door comes off by removing a pin from each hinge. The pin may have a keyway which needs lining op or removing before the pin can be driven out.

The door should prize apart and you can insert the core from your old door.

Ah ! I thought the core and the door were the one piece ? If they’re different, then it’s just the core I need, as that’s what the threaded retainers are injection moulded onto…..

Not sure you understood my post, but I could have worded it better.

The door is made up of a core and a frame. The frame has the hinges and lock attached. The core is the caravan colour and is interchangeable.

This video helps show the frame without its core. Other YouTube videos may help.

Thanks for your reply John, it never occurred to me to look up YouTube videos!
After searching, this is the closest I could find…..the door seems to have an inside and an outside. I’ve highlighted on the pic attached the two plastic threaded ‘boss’s’ that have snapped off, but they appear to be moulded onto the outside panel in this case ?
