The Nordelettronica NE143-CWS battery charger fitted to my 2005 Sterling Moonstone caravan has burned out.

Can anyone recommend a suitable repairer for this unit?

You could try Sargent Electrical (Google for the website)This company are apparently now supplying the Charger etc for Swift group instead of the bedevilled Nordelletronic unit. (my charger on 11month old Abbey Vogue 2 is in for replacement under warranty)I have heard of numerous failures. Best of luck!

As Derek stated these are bedevilled with failures. Your chances of getting the supplier to repair it FOC after 4 years is thin but worth a try in the light of the trouble they have been having. I recall its not actually an expensive repair so they might also repair it for you if you contributed.

It is possible to change just the charger unit, try contacting you local MCEA guy/gal, they may/should be able to help http://www.mobilecaravanengineers.co.uk/

I changed one the other week in a 2007 van, that was a 143 RM unit

Some of the more sophisticated battery chargers e.g. CTEK have a 12v output facility and it may be possible to replace a failed charger unit with one of these at far less cost than buying a replacement.

Hi Donald I assume that you have checked the battery charger connection leads, I had a simular failure of the charger failing to charge my battery, only to discover the connection from the mains to the charger the plug had fallen away froim the charger socket, replaced, everything back to normal.
