We have a new battery which shows"green" but the caravan electrics are not working. My repair man says I should be keeping the van plugged in at all times especially as we use a mover but this is our 4th year with the caravan and have only ever topped the battery up at home and then it charged fully on site so never had this problem before. We have replaced a bulb in the kitchen area and it is still not working even when on mains.....I think I have an electrical problem but my fully registered repair man disagrees. Can anyone help point either of us in the right direction!

What exactly is not working?

All the 12v systems or just some?

Mains?

make and year of van would be helpful too

Thanks for prompt reply. Everything working on mains except 2 ceiling lights in kitchen area and new bulb fitted which appeared to be ok on last check a week or so ago . Because battery was showing flat on internal dial and nothing worked have not checked 12v as yet but am charging battery as I write. Our van is a 2006 Elddis Odyssey 540 we have had it from new and have replaced battery once due to not topping it up on a regular basis and we don' t have a charger....yet! I am sure the 2 lights not working mean there is a small electrical fault that is draining the battery but my repair man is not convinced. Any helpful suggestions will be most welcome
