We just used standard bedding based on a normal double, and used sleeping bags. . Sleeping bags being preferred as no one gets to loose any covers over them, and being 6ft 4 in and having the cut off corner section at my foot end I kept my toesies warm.

Standard double fitted sheet on the bottom and king sized duvet.
The bottom sheet is secured using some of These around the bottom.

All works a treat for us. We did look at the fully shaped fitted sheets but thought them a bit expensive.

We use those clips to keep the covers in place on the front bunks.

Those clips look good, 👌 will need to invest in a set.

Same as home. An ordinary fitted sheet. But first we place a thick mattress topper on top of the original, You choose the filling that suits you best. Guarantees a good nights sleep. Then it’s the full size double duvet, shared. Easy and simple to wash etc

We bought the fitted sheets at first then just went for normal bed fitted sheets, with a thin 2 inch topper from Dunhelm. I like the "Suspenders" that Plod suggested.
We bought a very expensive Memory foam mattress £700 cut to fit the side bed. Mrs H didn't like it, had to give it away in the end.

If you are using cottages why are you still using your own fitted sheet and sleeping bags? I thought that this was all supplied when renting a cottage?
Not all self contained accommodation provides bed linen. Some will include it as an extra. Some require you to bring your own. But things like blankets or duvets are normally supplied.
