Hi, I am wondering if anyone can recommend a camp site in Berlin, or close by with good transport links to the centre. Look forward to any suggestions you can offer.
Hi George,
We went to Sanssouci zu Potsdam with the Caravan Club last year. The site was fantastic set in parkland at the side of Templinar Lake. You can catch a tram from the campsite into Potsdam & then by train into Berlin. It takes roughly a hour to reach the centre of Berlin. Be warned though,we stopped over in Belgium there & back, but it is a long drive to get there!
Another vote for Potsdam. Like Tango we used this site to visit Berlin. We bought the combination tram/train ticket at reception and they have a free mini bus to take you to the tram stop and collect you on your return. We found it so easy we went again the next day!
Thanks for the replies, I will certainly investigate the site further, as we will want to visit the centre of Berlin on at least two days and the combination ticket sounds ideal for this purpose.
