i now tow my twin axle with a VW Phaeton 5.0 V10TDI.

This tows fantastic , you really do not know you have a caravan behind.

Not as bad as you think - 22mpg towing and 35mpg solo if you dont go mad.

I have a 3.0 version and this too is an amazing tower.

Alas, it is to be sold I think, for unrelated reasons.
