After the seafront and the pleasure beach ,wot is there around Blackpool to see and do ,bearing in mind we have never been to this part of the country, and we have no kids to keep amused we already have a site in mind any comments good or bad please would be great.Many Thanks.

ps we are intending to go in August.
 
You will be on the North Lancashire coast and to the North of Blackpool you have Cleveleys, Fleetwood and via M6 The Lake District

To the south you have ST Annes,Lytham and Preston(shopping)

To the east you have the Trough of Bowland with hills walking and scenery etc
