Hello there

Me and my partner are looking at buying our first caravan. We have done trailer tenting so have towed with the bmw for that, but im not sure if the car is suitable for a van. We only want a small van. About 12ft really so will my 318tds be capable of towing something this size? What are the key factors i need to consider? Any info will be great. Thanks
 
Just found out my kerb weight is 1400kg. And maximum tow weight of 1375kg.

So what would be the ideal weight van to get so that increases the safety aspect? As ive seen people go on about 85% compatability.
