Noticed a small note in the new August CC Magazine that the French Government has apparently reduced their VAT rates on Restaurant and Cafe meal prices from 19.6% to 5.4% from the 1st July. This represents a saving of approx 12% meaning a 20 euros set meal should now cost 17.5 euros and with the slowly improving exchange rate make eating out more affordable. A pity we returned from a months holiday in France 2 days before they changed the rates!!!!

Anyway our best eating out (literally) place is called Swift Charisma
