As explained under General category not actually away at Christmas but ferry on Boxing Day night gets close !
Complicated this year - since we go to Roscoff and drive down through France (OH is driver and prone to mal de mare) we are concerned about the potential 'manifestations' aka demos aka lawlessness on French autoroutes.
At time of writing it does not look too bad but not sure how it may be by next Thursday. Worrying as we are collectively quite old and not up for unscheduled layby overnights..
But we're still going, and hope to be pitched, connected, warm, safe near Mojacar for New Year.
So would like to wish all other readers who spend at least part of the Festive Season out of UK a very happy and peaceful time, and we look forward to joining you in the sun.

We passed through France on our way home just over a week ago. The protesters had occupied the motorway toll booths, but they waved us through and so I was able to cross almost the full length of France without paying a cent in tolls, so don't worry too much about the gilets jaunes.

Safe journey Ray and we hope to be able to share a glass or 2 to celebrate the New Year on our way home.

Best wishes and good luck for the New Year to all of you from the bottom part of Spain (6 countries, 7500 miles and 34 campsites so far!)
