Booking for 2008 in france

Does anybody know when the campsites in France bring out the 2008 brochures. I have been looking on internet and they only seem to have 2007 brochures.

Thanks

Ian

Usually not until their busy season has ended - then they start production, and often we're sent brochures around Christmas time. However, they're happy to accept bookings any time, and some of the best sites may be booking up already. Don't wait until next year's brochures start to appear - prices and opening/closing dates probably won't vary that much from those displayed on the internet for this year. If you want to pre-book then as long as this year's price doesn't seem too bad I think you'd be quite safe - and if you're going outside peak season (mid-July to mid-August) it probably isn't necessary to book anyway.

We booked this year's holiday in November last year. The campsites we were intersted in seemed to be just getting their 2007 brochures and prices sorted out.

We travelled in August and did not have any problems getting the sites we wanted and we seemed to get a good deal on the ferry as well (contrary to some other messages I've seen posted)

We, too, have booked for next year in France and the site was happy to reserve a pitch in a preferred area and was very swift to send confirmation. The main problem was sending the deposit since they do not accept cards or use paypal. I ended up paying
