Last week BP announced they are pulling out of the LPG market....
Personally I don't use BP as I didn't know they used lightweight cylinders......
BP have said they are selling the business as a going concern....
What gets me is if a giant as BP are pulling out, why any other company would want to step in. None of the usual caravan media seems to be saying anything about this....
Have I stubbled on an exclusive here....

Or is something sinister going on....

I'm aware of the post.... The link I posted is dated the 7th.... To which another member of the forum has posted on the 9th... I heard a rumour over 2 weeks ago, I'd of mentioned it sooner , but having to come to terms of losing my job, I've had other things on my mind...
I would of thought a publication like PCM would of had their finger on the pulse....
I personally don't use BP... Which in my mind is just as well ....
They apparently selling it as a going concern... With recent events with BP I would of thought if it was a going concern, they would continue with it... So it can't be that much of a going concern if BP can't make a profit out of it...

The BP system is great, mainly because it is propane only and uses modern 27mm clip-on regs rather than an archaic fitting that can be cross-threaded, left loose and easily damaged. And I don't want to switch to Patio Gas...

To be honest, BP didn't comminicate this to any specialist media. We got made aware of it by a reader email and got in touch with BP, which confirmed all the relevant details. It was part of a wider communication on the future of BP's business, which is why Bloomberg carried a story which might look like it has more relevance for the caravan and marine market.

Ultimately, BP appears to be concentrating on its core business. I know there has been suggestion that BP has been driven from the market by poor take up or even some restrictive practices by rivals, but in truth, it just isn't that big a piece of business for a company the size of BP.

There aren't many companies with the clout to do anything sinister to BP that it isn't big enough to sort out if it wanted to...There is nothing sinister going on.
