Off to the lakes in a few weeks as soon as the children break up from school. Staying at Braithwaite Fold CC site any handy hints and tips for me ?

Braithwaite Fold is just a short (10 min) walk into Bowness , there is a Booths supermarket in Windermere about 5/6 min drive away. If you like a walk then take the windermere car ferry across to Ferry Nab ,from there you can take your pick from flat easy walk to a slightly more energetic walk . Hope you enjoy your holiday.Any more help req just ask as we have been many times.

site is not very big and is always full we have never really had a choice of pitch when we have arrived usully only 1 or 2 spaces change over a day. we have been many a time and loved every visit. have always found something different to do everytime we have been hope you enjoy it.
 
Usually you dont get much choice of pitch as the site tends to be busy most times of the year. But if you do happen to go when there are alot of spaces if you have young children then try the pitches that are about 8 or nine spaces past the office on the left hand side as there is a grass area behind there also good for barbeque's. There are a few lake view pitches on the outer ring.
