we paid an extra £100 for breakdown cover with the RAC for 3 weeks in France , that was bringing the caravan back home as well ,any one of a better one
HiWhen you say 'better' do you mean cheaper? If so there are lots of alternatives, but better actually means that in the event of a breakdown your insurance will do what you thought it would, ie get you, car and caravan either to your destination and repaired, or back home. Some of the apparently cheaper options have all sorts of exclusion clauses, for example if it's the caravan which 'breaks down' rather than the car or if the car breaks down when the caravan is not actually being towed.
Only those people who've actually had to call out breakdown services can tell you which are 'better' but Red Pennant (Caravan Club) is hard to beat for the sort of service it promises on the tin! It may not be cheaper though.
