breakdown insurance new

Check out the RAC and if you have Tesco vouchers all the better.

You may need to advise lenght of Van though for recovery purpose.

We've just took out cover with http://www.autoaidbreakdown.co.uk/works01.htm

It is a pay and claim service, but there was loads of good reviews by very satisfied customers on www.moneysavingexpert.com if you search for 'breakdown cover' there is a lot of info on there.

Hope that helps.

Clubs are worth a try - as they often do double cover - so they will get you there - if your breakdown on route and back again.

(At least the caravan club does).

If you are or have ever been (or have a family member who has) a civil servant, BT or similar employee look at britannia rescue now part of LV Frizzell. Their rates are significantly less than some others, even taking into account that you need to join CSMA (civil service motoring association) to get the best rates. You will also get a discounted rate for car insurance from LV (and for house insurance and an overall discount if you have two or more policies from the same address).

Britannia have come out well in the comparison ratings too.

One level of cover gives continental insurance, but they sub-contract the recover and there have been some bad reports.
