We are due to go to this site in a couple of weeks. Has anyone been recently and if so could you please tell me the condition of the grass? I know some sites in the area due to the rain are in a bit of a mess.We have disabled nephew who can walk slowely on firmish ground and wants to come and stay with us for my 65th birthday.

Have you thought about Porlock caravan site, its in the village and they have hard standing, sure this site would suite your needs better.
