Burstner recall: defective windows

Has anyone had their caravan/motorhome windows repaired and or replaced under the terms of the present recall by Burstner due to a defect in the bonding of the outer and inner window panes. I wish to know if the recall has commenced and more importantly if there is a cut off date on such recall...

We had to get in touch with bustner uk. Gave them our chassis number and got a letter telling us our van was due the free treatment. ie fix not replace of the windows.

Our nearest bustner dealer is 60 miles away at Lincoln, phoned them, was told it was an hour job. as yet not booked it in as its a weekday thing!

What I wish to know is has Burstner honoured and completed the work for anyone. I have spoken to my Burstner dealer who has displayed a complete unwillingness to get involved in the process. It all seems a rather grey area from my prospective. Any help or comment please

HI David,

I have just spoken to my Burstner dealer regarding this post & he has fired off an email to Burstner UK to see what is going on!!

I have a 2007 Belcanto 540TK which I have had from new but as yet don't know if it is one of the affected vans but suspect it may be as I found condensation between the panes of the bathroom window the other day!!

I will keep you all posted as I should hear back by the end of the wk!

Caroline
