My VW-supplied inflator uses crocodile clips on the "battery" posts in the engine compartment - seems a better arrangement for higher-powered inflators rather than the limited current of a cigarette-lighter socket type.I just bought a ring type with digital display, its the ultrainflate 20 , and is very good with a clear display and preset pressure setting and good cable and hose storage, however it takes about 12A and it took out my cars' atc fuse for the cigar lighter socket so I had to uprate it to 15A and changed the socket/plug for the DIN ISO 4165 type, a bit naughty but given the infrequent use it will get it will be fine . I have also fitted the same type outlet socket rated at 20A on the caravan's side to power various 12V devices in awning .As I use the pump a lot when working on caravans I have fitted the 20A connector to it and run it off my 280 A.hr battery /inverter system which I use to run caravan 240V systems. and also test the road lights I found the standard 12V connectors poor quality and get very hot when running at about 5-10A.
I can't help you. I have had this one for years and works well. You appear to be asking fir recommendations for one that doesn't work. What 12v tyre inflator do people recommend for caravan tyres except for one that works!
Looks to be what I have and was back then sold as a RING RAC900.I can't help you. I have had this one for years and works well. You appear to be asking fir recommendations for one that doesn't work.
LOL ! Usually if I ask a question that's the answer i get back " 1 that works".I can't help you. I have had this one for years and works well. You appear to be asking fir recommendations for one that doesn't work.
My Subaru Forester would take a full sized spare but like the Karoq did not allow the boot floor to sit flat. The Australian Foresters had to have a full sized spare by law and Subaru provided a neat kit that lifted the floor to become level. But rather than shell out £350😛lus shipping and import taxes I used expanded polystyrene to level the floor. The whole modification paid for itself when I had a non repairable puncture. Instead of replacing all four tyres I got away with only buying one new tyre.Agree re VAG. We have a Skoda Karoq 2L TDI which came with a foam kit and compressor. Not a lot of good if you get a flat when towing! Our model has a half depth spare wheel well so I bought a skinny spare with new Conti tyre off eBay for £60 as a safer solution and left the compressor in the car. This unit will do IMSMC 6bar!
For the record any of the SE or SEL Karoq models which only come in turbo petrol have a near full sized spare wheel well. A full spare can be carried but (again IMSMC) the boot floor has to be lifted by about an inch so that it will sit properly.
