Buying new tyre

Today just bought again tyre for caravan , this time it was the spare which looked as if it had never been used. I looked for date code but could not identify it. One code had 97 another 17, neither could be date. Price this time from Tyre leader was £5 dearer, couple of weeks ago same brand £37

The date code is a four digit string. The first two digits are the week of production. The third and fourth digits are the year of manufacture.
