c-max 1.6 petrol

Hello,

i drive a c-max 1.6 petrol. this has a brake tow weight of 1200Kg.

Does any body out there tow with this car and do they have any power issues or any other towing issues.

didnt want to buy a caravan and have to tow it at 25mph.

I don't have any experience with a C-Max, but I would think that a 1.6 petrol would struggle quite a bit with a caravan and require a lot of stirring with the gear lever to coax the last reserves out of the engine so that you can keep up with the traffic flow. In other words, it would be possible to tow, but I doubt whether you'd get much joy out of it.

Marcus to put it bluntly, unless you plan to tow sub 1000kg, skin and rice pudding come to mind!
