cadac security ?

hi just a thought ,,anybody ever had there cadac stolen i was trying to secure a cable or something to it to make it a bit harder for an unscrupulous person to just lift it away seems a lot of money just to sit at the door of the caravan for it to be easily uplifted but there is not many places on it to secure anything ?

I normally leave mine outside but leave it out off sight , like in the corner of the awning or behind the draught skirt, it depends where you are , somethimes of we go for a walk we don't even zip the awning door closed !

We usually just leave it in the corner of the awning but perhaps with a chair in front so its not easily visible. We have stayed on a site when one night there were thefts from a few tents and awnings so we put it in the back of the car overnight for extra security but that was the only time I've ever really worried about it.

hi thanks ,,i dont usually put the awning up ..dont like cleaning it every time then having to put it in the car ,,i have made a little wire cable loop thing and have attached it through a hole in the bottom of the base ..then i think i can attach it to a leg of caravan ,,?

A ring bolted through the bottom of the Cadac, that you could attach a small chain as a deterent, and maybe a cowbell, wouldn't mind having mine stolen , make an excuse to buy a new one.

Just makes me want to spit that people have to go to the extreme to secure their equipment to stop it from walking from light fingered gits,
