We have the Skoda Octavia 2.0 140 bhp dsg VW engine 55 reg. For some months now we have an annoying ticking sound from somewhere in the dash, whether stationary or not and it does not rise with revs,it is about the spacing of a clock second hand .I wonder whether it is something to do with a electrical component and further more it tends to dissapear after about 15 miles. Any idea chaps?.
 
Can't help, doesn't happen on my 57 plate vRS TDi.
