Windsor Castle is not far away ,or you visit the army Museums in Aldershot ,and also visit the Duke of Wellington Monument at the same time ,and across the road from the Monument is the arched gateway where the troops marched through on there way to the battle of Waterloo ,i dont think the Farnborough airshow is on this year ,

I would suggest a visit to Brooklands at Weybridge...

It was the Worlds first motor racing track and where many famous aircraft were built.

There is an excellent museum there covering both the motor racing and aircraft production heritage.

If you have time it is also the location of Mercedes Benz World.

Hi,You could spend a couple of hours at Mytchett.

Canal centre and narrowboat trip's.

Potters pub is opposite, good food and beer.

If the Quay's are open you could even give waterskiing a go:)

I too would recommend the Brooklands museum. Full of cars, bikes (eg. Brough Superior) and aircraft. Some great film clips shown there too. And if you have time left, you can go offroad, or on the track at Mercedes World next door.

Brooklands is about 16 miles away,do you fish? some good lakes around the area, pop in Yateley Angling for info etc.

Huge M&S just up the road for a cup of coffee.

Bracknell very close for skiing or a fun swim at Coral Reef?

Thankyou one and all,I went and had my elevenses by the canal at Mychett (and a quick 40 winks)then parked up and watched the water skiers at the Quays a bit of lunch at Tesco followed by a restful hour by the River Blackwater at Hawley Meadows all just in time to pick up SWMBO and return home.
