camp site near Dover to Calais ferry crossing

were of to France with the caravan for the first time end of July, the ferry crossing is 6.30 in the morning, we are traveling down to dover day before and need to find a camp-site near the port.

Chris,

We did this last year, we stayed at Hawthorn Farm which is basiclly just above dover. There is a pub at the end of the lane which is within walking distance and does good food too.

I think there are a few links on this topic been discussed before, have you done a search on Dover or Hawthorn farm.

Good luck

Just type Hawthorn Farm Dover into Google and it gives you all the details.

The CC site at Blackhorse Farm near Dover is excellent, and has special pitches for ferry traffic so you can come and go as you please. It's about 15 minutes drive to the docks.
