Camp sites for one night

Hello there,
Our summer trip will take us to Venice this year and we are to return via Austria on the A10 towards Salzburg. So can anyone recommend a site near the town of Radstadt which has good and easy access from the A10 motorway. Also we are looking for another one night stay on the A8 in Germany near Ulm. Again it is the access which concerns me. There are sites listed but it would be nice if someone has used the sites and could give a little information. Thanks BarryB

Sorry can't help with particular sites, but if you can find any in the guide books, get the coordinates or address or location and look on Google Earth.
While this is obviously only 2 dimensional you can see if the access road is through the centre of a small village etc and if Street View coverage has got that far you can often actually see the site entrance and roads round it.
I also use it to look at complicated junctions as satnavs are unreliable in this respect even with latest updates - e.g. the Junction off M% for Cribbs Causeway which is quite incorrect in the latest Garmin update, late alone going to Latvia

We have often come up from Italy over the Fernpass going north through Germany via Kempten and Ulm. I have never been very successful with campsites round Ulm - mainly, I suspect because I have the wrong camping books! However, last year on our way down to Italy, we went via Munich and found a very nice campsite at Augsburg. Camping Lech which is about 10-15 minutes north from the A8. The lady who runs the site during the day speaks excellent English and is incredibly helpful and access is fine. Sorry I know it is not Ulm - just a thought.
