Campsites on the A20

Hi, driving down to Carcassonne next week and need a stop over somewhere near Chateauroux or Limoges (near to the A20). All advice graetefully recieved,

Thanks, Chris & Kerrie

Browsing through possible overnight stops for next year I came across www.acsi-gids.com. Select a possible site which will show maps for nearness to your chosen route and take it on from there - or not if unsuitable. They offer satellite pictures too which can often tell you more about a location than the map - is it surrounded by fields or the local tip sort of thing.

Is this your website? If so, it's a fantastic help to anyone travelling through France. Hadn't realised until earlier this year just how many campsites were listed. Brilliant!

Try the Les Castels site Le Chateau de Leychoisier at Bonnac La Cote. A delightful site that is one of the Les Castels family of independant sites located in the grounds of chateaus. 12km N of Limoges and close to the autoroute (A20, J27). Last year we intended it as a one night stop but a combination of superb weather, site facilities and local hiking routes meant that we stayed over a week.

See http://www.keith.mercer.dsl.pipex.com/Caravan_Touring.html for other sites that may be of interest.

Enjoy your trip!
