Can we re paint tinting on window edges?

Our Lunar Clubman caravan front window edges were looking worn - black gloss edging was grey and rough in places either through weathering or being cleaned with wrong substance. We tried restoring it using colour restore but it has only worked in places and in some small areas it’s taken the colour off completely back to clear. Is it possible to re spray the area with paint for acrylic surfaces? Or should we just leave well alone now as overall they look better but only if you don’t get too close.

I would edit your pictures for security reasons.

Also taking pictures of glossy surfaces is really difficult. But I know what you mean as my vans windows have also lost there gloss. I can’t be of direct help but will watch this thread with interest.

Please remove the first picture which is about your John Lewis Account, and the second which appears to be at the kitchen sink - and not as intended!
You can edit the posting (bottom left of the text area) and delete then save to leave as intended!

I can't really tell what I'm looking at - But some googling shows you can spray onto acrylic with the right paint; a crafting blog I found was using a "Krylon" brand paint to spray clear acrylic . But if you were to spray, you would need to mask off rest of the window and van very carefully to avoid overspray.

Thank you. I have googled paining on acrylic but just wondered if anyone had actually done their windows and whether successful or not. Pictures were pretty rubbish TBH.
