We've been to a site just outside woolacombe for the last 3 years. Its called Warcombe and it is a C & CC site (although no concessions in high season!). The pitches are really generous, fantastic show block which were built last year, and a great park for the kids. From the moment the kids wake up to the time they go to bed, they are on the park. There is a little shop on site, a take away food bar. There are also nice walks in the vicinity, through forests etc, down to small bays and you can walk into Morethoe from the site (lovely little village). It is only a short drive to woolacombe beach (great for surfing), although the less commercialised beach of Saunton is 15 minutes drive. We actually drive there each day, and even hire a beach hut for the week. No need to trapse everything down to the beach each day. We even stay and have BBQ in the evening.

Would highly recommend the site, and is also very reasonable for high season.
