Cant switch alarm off !!!

Hi,

Can anyone help, Just collected van from storage and the alarm wont switch off with the remote fob, The caravan battery is flat could this be the problem ? Is there a reset switch ? Its on hook up now perhaps this will cure it.

Any ideas gratefully received.

It depends on what van & what alarm you have.

Explorer vans have a wire less system. If the battery in the infra red detecter has gone that will trigger the alarm

We ahd the same problem, posted the same question 2 weeks ago, it seems the battery is the problem, sounded like a lame duck, steadily got better as the battery charged up, once fully charged OK, big problem of course is the continous sound of a lame duck while the battery charges, it went from a slow feeble sort of noise steadily back up to a full quick noise, eventualy it re-set.

Take it somewhere it won't annoy anyone.

We had a problem with our alarm system. We found that on replacing the batteries inside the infra red sensor solved the problem.
