Canterbury

Hi Colleen,

The site we would recommend is Black Horse Farm ,Caravan Club site at Densole.nr Folkestone its an excellent site and near to Canterbury. If you go do use the Park and Ride its brilliant and the bus takes you right into the centre and is very reasonable and what an interesting place Canterbury is.Enjoy.Jim

I am actually sitting in my caravan now on holiday in Canterbury - at the Camping and Caravan site to be precise - not far from the City centre. I definitely recommend this site - the wardens are fantastic, always cheerful and helpful. You can order your newspaper and pick it up in the mornings from the shop on site - also on sale is milk, food, etc., (including chocolate bars!!) There is a lovely dog walk on site albeit a bit muddy at the moment. There is also a children's play area, a laundry room, washing up areas, loo blocks with showers, etc. There is a bus stop right outside the side gate on the main A257. Although the site is right next door to a main road it is very quiet and peaceful. Hope I have been of some help. Ruth (new member).

An update to my original posting:

Just had an enjoyable couple of days at the Canterbury C&CC Site. The site is up to the usual standard, very close to the city so you can either walk or take the bus. Decent dog walk, although our dog didn't come with us this time, the warden were very friendly, even recognised me from a stay at West Runton C&CC site a couple of years prior.

Any cat lovers - the wardens are looking for a new home for a three legged stray they have been looking after for the last few weeks, anybody interested, go with your cat carrier!!! LOL

We are using the C&CC site in Canterbury next weekend, I can let you know what it's like when we get back.
Used the site a couple years back, very tidy and clean. Wardens were helpful and great fish n chip van on site too
