Car alarm fault

I am using a 13pin to two 7 pin adapter.
13pin socket on the car.
With the caravan plugged and the car doors locked with the remote all power is removed from the caravan, including the mains fridge feed.

What is the car? Mine removes all power from the caravan when the car is powered down in order to not kill the car battery. Thats normal behaviour.

With the 13 pin plug in PIN number 9 is always permanently live going to the caravan. So any slight variation in voltage will set car alarm off.

That sounds like correct operation to me - there's a habitation relay in the caravan which isolates all the 12v circuits except the mover and caravan alarm when the caravan is plugged into the car - the fridge is intended to run from the car alternator when plugged in - but only whjen the engine is running.

Nissan xtrail. Never used to do it but I had some work done by an auto electrician so I suspect the wiring has been changed. It's a pain as I used to have the caravan connected to car and connected to mains the day before a journey the following day. Now I have to disconnect the 13 pin cable.

I believe so - I've never tried plugging into the car while still connected to mains.

If the igniter runs from 12v - then yes. Ours does (not a separate battery). I have never tried running the fridge on mains with the 12v plugged in, but the control panel does run on 12v, so it could well be a "yes".
