What is the car? Mine removes all power from the caravan when the car is powered down in order to not kill the car battery. Thats normal behaviour.I am using a 13pin to two 7 pin adapter.
13pin socket on the car.
With the caravan plugged and the car doors locked with the remote all power is removed from the caravan, including the mains fridge feed.

Any suggestions as ro the cause?.

That sounds like correct operation to me - there's a habitation relay in the caravan which isolates all the 12v circuits except the mover and caravan alarm when the caravan is plugged into the car - the fridge is intended to run from the car alternator when plugged in - but only whjen the engine is running.I am using a 13pin to two 7 pin adapter.

So is it normal to remove the igniter for the fridge and the fridge mains feed? That sounds like correct operation to me - there's a habitation relay in the caravan which isolates all the 12v circuits except the mover and caravan alarm when the caravan is plugged into the car - the fridge is intended to run from the car alternator when plugged in - but only whjen the engine is running.
I believe so - I've never tried plugging into the car while still connected to mains.Nissan xtrail. Never used to do it but I had some work done by an auto electrician so I suspect the wiring has been changed. It's a pain as I used to have the caravan connected to car and connected to mains the day before a journey the following day. Now I have to disconnect the 13 pin cable.
