I own Kia Sorento xt auto and because the price of diesel and low mpg i'm considering using it for the towing season only and maybe get a small car for the remainder of the year.

Does anyone know of an isurance company that will provide cover on one policy for both at a reasonable price.

Regards BAZ.

Hi Baz,

I would be extremely suprised if you find a company to give you what is in effect one policy for two cars unless you opt for a commercial or "dealer" policy which allows you to drive any car and that would be a scary price.

We have done what you are proposing and run a Nissan Micra as a daily driver and a Shogun as Our towcar and general "truck"

The insurance on the Micra is only about

We have a Discovery used almost exclusively for towing the caravan.

It is insured through "Sureterm", who do specialist insurance such as 4x4's etc.

Due to its relatively low usage it is on an annual milage restriction and this saves quite a bit of cash.

Its actually great in this day and age to speak to someone knowledgable on the end of the phone as I find the internet insurance sites somewhat prohibitive.
