Hi all

I noticed today that I had a loose 19mm nut on a bolt connecting the caravan body to the bpw chassis.
Shock horror on checking the rest of said nuts they were all not very tight.

I am on site in France at the moment and wondered if anyone knows the correct torque setting for said nuts.

Caravan is a 2019 Hobby.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I had similar on a Bailey on two bolts near the door/kitchen. I thought I had a soft spongy floor. But when I looked underneath it was couple of loose bolts. I just tightened them up with a ring spanner until the softness disappeared and they seemed suitably tight based on my experience with things mechanical.

If, as I think, they go through the floor. There may be a danger of overtightening and compressing the sandwich floor. I would be tempted to do as OC suggests, but to also use Locktight to stop them from vibrating loose in the future.

I woukd very much doubt tgere is any advised torque for such boots.
Personally I would tighten them up by feel until tight (but nit so tight as to compress the floor other than a small amount.
They don't have to hold Mt Everest back, just hold the body to the chassis, or rather the chassis to the body!
