Caravan body to chassis rail

Hi all

I noticed today that I had a loose 19mm nut on a bolt connecting the caravan body to the bpw chassis.
Shock horror on checking the rest of said nuts they were all not very tight.

I am on site in France at the moment and wondered if anyone knows the correct torque setting for said nuts.

Caravan is a 2019 Hobby.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I had similar on a Bailey on two bolts near the door/kitchen. I thought I had a soft spongy floor. But when I looked underneath it was couple of loose bolts. I just tightened them up with a ring spanner until the softness disappeared and they seemed suitably tight based on my experience with things mechanical.

If, as I think, they go through the floor. There may be a danger of overtightening and compressing the sandwich floor. I would be tempted to do as OC suggests, but to also use Locktight to stop them from vibrating loose in the future.

I woukd very much doubt tgere is any advised torque for such boots.
Personally I would tighten them up by feel until tight (but nit so tight as to compress the floor other than a small amount.
They don't have to hold Mt Everest back, just hold the body to the chassis, or rather the chassis to the body!

Are the nuts inder the caravan?
Can you let me have a bit more detail as to where the bolts are located? Or a picture or image?

Thanks

I doubt there is a set torque. I would just do 'em tight by feel. Don't forget they are going through a plywood and foam sandwich floor, so don't get too enthusiastic with your spanner
