We are currently in the UK & will be moving out of our house at the end of July(So no UK address).Shortly after we travel to France with a twin axle caravan, on an extended tour with a view to buying a house there.

Most insurance policies are for up to 6 months, or single axle or you must be based in the UK.

Does anyone have any suggestions for my new policy for car or caravan or both?

Cheers

Your problem is that you are non resident. Is it not possible that you are setting off an extended holiday? Of course, it is entirely possible that people on long holidays change their plans and decide to stay abroad but until that time they may be considered to be UK residents - subject to them having an address.

Towergate offer 12 months caravan cover in Europe. SAGA will insure the car for 12 months. Recovery/Roadside assistance is available through ADAC. Many specialist health insueres offer extended stay cover for up to 18 months.

It all hinges on your intention. A holiday, starts and finishes at home. Change your intention and take a long holiday. If at some point you change your plans, notify your UK insurers and obtain cover in your new country
