Does anyone know of anyone who cleans the outside of caravans in the Stockport area ?

Mine has been stored under a tree for 7 months and has collected a lot of mould, sap etc etc.

Failing that, which is the most safe and effective way of getting the above off.....?

Im planning on cleaning it this Sunday...ta

Hi,

Fenwicks is good, but this year I used TFR (traffic film remover) and it was extremley effective. My son in law has used it for yaers now on van and car and they are both looking top notch. You can buy it localy as TFR is a generic title. Use Google to find local suppliers. Some types have a wax blend that will give a shiny water beading finish. And because it is used by commercial comapnies ( car hire, taxi, valeters) it is cheap.

Agree with Other Clive, just be careful though as many TFR`s are caustic based and will strip the wax and eventually dull the paint. There are more pH neutral ones out there, just a bit more expensive and harder to find.

As I`ve said before I use bio-degradable pH neutral stuff from Costco which is very economical ( costs coppers to clean the van) and can be used on glass, upvc, plastic, carpets fabics etc, but realise not everyone has access to it.Very similar stuff used to marketed as "Green Genie"years ago and I`ve used it ever since.

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good caravan cleaner for removing black streaks. When we wash our caravan, it comes up clean, but on one side of the van from the roof downwards, there are black streaks on the paintwork, and it never comes off thru washing. Is there anything that can remove the streaks? Thanks

To get rid of black streaks, when I clean my van I use a stronger mix of Fenwicks. Spray over the streaks, leave for a few minutes and then rinse off with the normal mix of Fenwicks, I then finish off by rinsing over with Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler,

best regards, Martin
