One just has to say what a shambles they are and simply do not seem to care. Now mid am on Wednesday and the machine has brocken. Surprise surprise given the volumes. I for one have got feed up with urging them to find betetr ways, after all the car industry moved froma single booking day but not the good old club. No doubt they have all gone out for their Xmas party !!!!!!!!!!!!

Wake up Caravan Club if you ever get to read this

The last few years we have always waited until early January to book our main holidays when the rush for initial bookings is over. We always seem to be able to get the site we want booking a few weeks later as well.

Afternoon All,

I'm beginning to think that some people are on the wind up here.

Wayne, how can you seriously be so upset as to start 3 separate threads complaining about this ?

If it's not working just now just try later. Why do you feel the need to book your holidays so far in advance and at the exact minute that they become available ? I know it's a personal choice

but I personally think that you are being unreasonable.

In a way it's like some people want to get in before the others and be all " I'm alright Jack ", trying to push to the front of the queue and they not being allowed to, so are annoyed about it.

I'm not usually the type of person who will comment on others or criticise others, but this is just so silly and unimportant.

Alex.

Hi

doesn't matter when it is, ferry pitches can be popular and the last twice we have gone to France we couldn't get in - not so important if you stay in the south, however I have 650 miles to do before Dover - not looking for any sympathy just stating a fact!

Hi Alasdair,

I don't see you starting 3 different threads fervently complaining about the problems either.

I'm sure you'll be like most people, try and book but if you encounter problems, just try again later.

Alex.

Hi all, Tried booking sites on line but the C.C. site was just too busy. Rang them about half four and got through almost straight away. Apart from Rowntree in April, where we have had to shorten our stay by two nights as it is already full, we have been able to book all our other holidays. Fast, efficient and friendly service. sorry to here other tales of woe. Best wishes, Butler.

Every year I laugh my socks off when I read posts like " I can't get in" I can't book" "CC are uselss" but the same people carry on paying thneir subs! Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Gosh it must be the end of the world or maybe Tesco has run out of booze. Ooooooooo I am going to wet my pants. Oh dear me.

Why on earth should the CC invest in updating their system for a period of 3 or 4 days. Get real, this is a real world we live in and no other organisation on this planet will spend money updating software just so a few people can ge instant service for two or three days. Remember the old saying "Patience is a virtue" ?

I just cannot believe some people are so anally / orally retentive! You cannot be the pleasant and considerate people I've met on CC sites. Just get a life and find something real to worry about!

I've already booked my main holiday for next year (non CC site, booked it in September this year). I've also booked another holiday for next year (CCC site).

I just wanted to book some long weekends with the CC as in previous years, the site I am after gets its weekends booked fully in December of the previous year.

So, yes it is a bit frustrating for me.

Surely the CC could bloomin well change the way their booking system works, either by staggering dates or something. You can't even get through to the site I'm after by phone.

I think it is annoying when you work full time and are trying to get some long weekends booked but to no avail and you know full well that the site you're after will be fully booked, as in my case, over long weekends.

Sorry folks, but I just do not understand what all the fuss is about.I've been caravanning for over 40 years, and have only ever booked one site in advance, and that was the first night of our first ever european holiday.Surely booking ahead takes the romance out of caravanning?

hello emerson...there is no fuss...just some people want to moan about others i think..i rarely book but did need to book a couple of sites in scotland for march/april and didnt want to miss out as id already sorted a site with thwe c&cc..so if i hadnt got the dates the hol would not have gone as smoothly...and thought it would be a simple process to book on the day they were available...but as its obviously wound people up i dont think ill bother being a part of this again...leave all the moaners to carry on...maybe santa isnt coming to see them....have a good xmas everyone...ed
