Anyone out there used one and and if so are they any good? Is it best to pay as much as possible and according to heresay do they really scratch the windows? Are they worth the money to protect my new van.
Hi Tom, we are sorry we ever bought a cover, with the amount of damage ours caused (Pro Tec), with small scratches all over, including the windows. So basically you pay your money and take your chance!!
We also had marking from a Protec cover and although many people have satisfactory use with them, I would not take the chance again. Try 'Overwintering' by Fenwicks for this year and then make your decision. We do now use a cheap very lightweight cover as we are now stored under trees, which has been successful so no, you do not always get what you pay for as the Protec and similar covers are not cheap.
Hi. Tom. I have considered covers and got a couple of quotes,( Specialist Accessories give CC members 20% discount) however after reading previous threads on the subject I decided to go along Fenwicks route. I applied the overwinter with a garden sprayer and found it a doddle. I'm very pleased so far, we'll see how I feel about it next spring.
